Why thank you, you handsome devil, you.
So, I bet some of you are wondering what I have planned for the direction of this comic, and how much longer I intend to run it.
Well, I can definitely answer that. A Kirby Komic has 2031 pages, a total I am going to break. No intentions, no plans, I WILL break that total. Bob & George, one of my favorite comics of all time, lasted for seven-ish years, which is a marker I want to break as well.
Why? Well, I don't know that, I just know I want to. Which is pretty much the same exact reason I had when I started this comic up four years ago.
As for my story plans? Well, Gourmet Goodies has a bit more life left in it, then we'll kick into a slightly more serious segment, Meta Knight, where my latest kirby will finally make a showing. That one might actually last a decent length of time, since I have a decent plan for that segment.
Dimensional Mishaps will fully bring Master Green, a character from Ultimat Yoshi's Kirby Adventure comic. No, this is not a cross-over, and I don't have one scheduled for any length of time in the future. UY's Master Green is here to stay in my comic, it's his new home.
I'll probably get into King's Chaos before the Fifth Anniversary, where King DeDeDe gets some more screen time, but who knows, I might actually make it all the way to Cuteness. I'm sure you're looking forward to that segment, that one will be FILLED with the cute randomness I use to have in great numbers in my comic.
Don't worry about .0 (Point Zero,) the next "Mega-Segment" storyline, I don't have any intentions of starting that darker segment for a quite a while. It actually probably won't get started until I can find what I'm looking for, or actually develop the skill I need for the custom things I'd need to design. There will be many more segments before it shows up. If I plan it out just right, it'll blow the Dark Matter Crisis out of the water, and might actually impress sprite-comic haters. It's an ambitious project, I'll say that. It might even take longer than a year to complete.
But that's far to far into the future to worry about. Everyone just kick back and relax. Kirby's Dream Adventure is hear to stay for many, many more pages and at least a good few more years. Enjoy, and thanks for reading!
Hear hear! A Kirby Komic is mostly just pure randomness, with only tiny bits of story here and there, and this has so much story, I can't keep up with all of the characters...
You know, I am currently trying to memorize alllll the characters names, and so far I'm failing.
I need to get to the point where I can just see the kirby, and say it's name.
I can do that with Kirby(obviously), Keeby, Kaaby, Korby, Kible, Kirky and Kirmy, Kopoy, Klooshy, Kibby, Kexas, Kuxxel, Kublie, Kubby ...there's probably a little more but I can't name them off the top of my head. =/
Anyway great comic so far~
I don't think I've ever commented here, dunno. But I've been a fan for a while.
Also, your going for over 2000 pages? OK then. That is a lot. :3
I wonder how many pages this comic will have when it's finished, or if it will ever be finished. XD
a very interesting comic with some moments that made sense in its own way.
I need to learn from you and just make a bunch of comic pages all on one day so I don't have to fret about stories.
I apparently don't learn quickly.
But dang, four years... I really enjoy this comic!
I could never keep up this schedule you've got going here, BSX. My three updates a week schedule is bad enough sometimes. D:
But anyway, congrats on 4 years! Long live Kirby's Dream Adventure! :D
LONG LIVE THE DOO! LONG LIVE THE DOO!
@Luigi_96: Heck, if you need something to make you feel better, just take a look at MY schedule (if you can even call it that) :P
Anyway, sheesh four years? That means I’ve been reading this comic for a little over three now, since I began in November 2010 (around the middle of "A Meta Night”).
@BattleStarX: Happy Christmas! and Happy 4 years making this great comic! :)
Let's just hope you don't start thinking : "Why am I focusing all my time on this sprite comic? I need to move on with my life!" like some of the other comic authors do.
@Redkirby: PFFFT, what life?
@Redkirby: I don't think we'll have to worry about that. As many problems as it may have caused in the comic, I find this helps as sort of a physical therapy for my color blindness. I'm all about self-healing and non-doctor related crap.
Plus, I still find this fun. I can't even play the same video game all year long and still call it fun. So still considering this is so is actually very good.
@BattleStarX: Your color blind? I have a older brother (That was adopted) that is color blind.
@BattleStarX: All of your custome sprites look so good, I would have never gussed you're color blind.
Though you defintly got better after the winter olympics comic...
And yet, there was a crossover right after Meta Knight.
Hmmm... What if I told you that that is your opinion and yours alone, Author Doo?
